FASHION | May Wishlist ♥

It been a few weeks since I have managed to get a post popped up on here, I have been so busy with work and my online shop but I have spared to some time to write on my favourite corner of the web - my blog.
I also have some exciting news - me and my husband have booked our September trip away - we are flying to San Francisco & taking a road trip to LA for 10 days for our 4th wedding anniversary. We made it a pact to be somewhere new each year so we could take a photo on our wedding anniversary. I can't wait to share that blog post with you. Booking a trip away has got me excited for some new clothes, while I'll have to curb the spending over the next few months, it doesn't stop me from online shopping and these key finds were found through  - Catalogues247 - the perfect place to find all the things (including clothing) that you need on finance - booking a holiday can be pricey but so can buying clothing, so being able to spread the price out over a few months can make things more manageable and affordable - I do this myself and so do a lot of people, I like the freedom of trying clothes on in my own home before returning what I don't want and not having to pay an upfront cost.

These finds can all be found on - Fashion World - I'll include the links in case there is something that you like from my top picks.

1. Gingham Bardot Dress - LINK.
2. Dungaree's - LINK
3. AX Paris Smock Top - LINK
4. Blue Short Sleeve T-Shirt - LINK
5. AX Paris Off The Shoulder Dress - LINK
6. Canvas Pumps - LINK.
7. Statement Fringe Necklace - LINK

Beauty | Almond Milk & Honey | The Body Shop.

| From left to right - | * 60ml Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream - LINK  - £2.00 | 200ml Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Butter - LINK - £15.00 | Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Protecting Hand Cream - LINK - £4.00 |

I was excited to try the new Almond Milk & Honey range from The Body Shop, Almonds are a super food rich in vitamin E and they are great for your skin, I have been eating them every morning for the past month and I have noticed better skin apart from the occasional hormonal spots us ladies get every month.
So when I saw the new range from The Body Shop I knew they would be onto something great especially for your skin and body. We had quite a warm winter I think so my skin didn't really get too much of a beating from the cold weather but non the less it still needs a little TLC now we are heading into warmer weather and the thought of getting my legs out kind of terrifies me. The Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream is perfect for cleansing that rough skin so it's smooth again. After a shower I love to use the Almond Milk & Honey Restoration Body Butter, I love The Body Shop Butters as they are so soft, I like to let them sink in for a good 15 minutes before getting ready, I really wished I used a body butter's more often but it tends to be only the weekends I use them as I have more time to get ready, they keep your skin moisturized for at least 48 hours, this particular body butter is perfect for injecting some moisture into them legs of yours.
Lastly the Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Protecting Hand Cream is perfect for on the go, I do a lot of cleaning and hands on jobs in my job so they do take a beating each week, so I like to use a good hand cream and this one smells wonderful. The ingredients in these beauty products are fair trade so as well as treating yourself your also supporting community trade suppliers - you can read more about what this is here - LINK - and why I back it 100%. I do often write these posts but I am always 100% honest with my reviews and I always buy my bath and shower products from The Body Shop, I love the shower gels and body butters and I like that I'm helping others when I buy from The Body Shop. So give this new range a go, it's  must if you have sensitive skin like me.

Have you tired this new range? If so what did you think of it.

What I've Been Buying | Select | Primark | H&M | New Look Haul ♥

Last weekend I went for a spot of afternoon tea with my bestie in Nottingham - I'll save afternoon tea for another post. We also went for a shopping trip, buying some of the items in this post, some where bought on a separate shopping trip so I thought it would be an idea to pop it all in one haul post, I know my readers like these kinds of posts, as do I - I will try and link you where I can to some of these pieces too.

This cute striped pink & white bardot top is from Select - I love stripes and gingham at the moment and this pink striped top is so cute, it's dressy but can be worn casual at the same time, Select also sell this in a blue and white pattern too, you can buy this top here - LINK - for only £12.99. The shirt below it is also from Select, and I love it so much but I'm going to have to take it back as it just doesn't fit me right at all, I just loved the embroidered detail on the shoulder -  I think maybe I'd of liked it better if it was sleeveless, you can buy this here - LINK - for £16.99.

I bought my first pair of ripped jeans last month from New Look and I loved wearing them that much that I decided to buy them in another colour, they are from the HALLIE range and they are so comfy, the fit is perfect for me and they are the best fitting jeans I own, I normally always purchase my jeans from Primark because lets face it the prices are great, but it was worth splashing the £27.99 for these as I can see them lasting a while, they wash really well too - you can buy these from NEW LOOK here - LINK.

Next up is this coral top from H&M - it's a lot more pink in real life - H&M are my go to for sheer shirts, this one was only £8.99, I will need to wear a top underneath it though as it is pretty sheer. They had these in a variety of colours but I loved the coral shade because we are heading into Spring now so I wanted to add a pop of colour to my wardrobe, I'm a bit fed up of burgundy, khaki and pine greens now. You can buy this from H&M in-store as I've noticed it's not actually available online yet.

Last up are these buys from Primark, I actually couldn't believe this nude high waisted skirt was only £6.00, it will go with so many of my Spring outfits so I'm looking forward to teaming this with tights and boots at the moment because it's still a bit nippy outside. The blue bardot top was £10.00, embroidery can be seen on a lot of clothes lately and I have to stop myself getting carried away buying anything I see with it on because it is so pretty. I like the subtle embroidery on the shoulders of this top though, I think that was why it caught my eye, These were my most recent Primark purchases, both had low stock so you might have to snap them up quick if you want to get your hands on them.

I hope you enjoyed reading my mini haul. Which pieces are your favouite?

A Year In Our New Home ♥

I never did write an official post about our house which we bought last year, I did kind of take a blogging break for a while last year and I think that was partly due to the fact that the start of the year was pretty life changing. We bought a house. I still can't believe those words when I write them down, I even have to pinch myself sometimes in case it's a dream because I honestly didn't think we'd find our dream home, especially when we did and how we did. Me and my husband like to think it was a little thing called "FATE" it sounds really cheesy when you use that word but honestly it was.
We started our house hunt 6 months before back in 2015 by going to a mortgage advisers, story cut short we received a little bad news that put a dampener on things and left us feeling a little unhopeful but with any bad news, we saved anyway determined we were able to do this - nothing makes you want something more when you know its going to be a little harder.
Fast forward a few months and I was having my weekly browse of houses in the local area, getting my hopes up as I do and I came across "my now house" I was flicking through the photos feeling very crushed because at that moment it was "still a dream" I even showed my husband and said to him "this is my dream house, it has everything I want" and no i'm not being cheesy again - it did.
I always said I wanted a big garden, a largish kitchen, I loved the idea of a little cosy living room like the one in we had in our flat at the time, big windows and three bedrooms so we could have a family one day. Two days later it had sold, I was pretty gutted even though we still hadn't saved the 5% deposit we needed - paying rent and saving money is hard, I did keep visiting that house online too just look at the photo's. Fast forward three months to January, heading into 2016 we were determined we were going to get our house this year. We visited a mortgage advisers at our bank to see how much we could borrow and we left feeling very optimistic, I started the house hunt right away. It must have been about 6 days when I got a notification on my phone from a local estate agents, imagine my surprise when it was a text message about the house we had been looking at 3 months ago, it was back on the market after the previous sale fell through - I have never booked a viewing quicker in my life. The night before I was a bag of nerves and excitement, my husband told me to not get my hopes up, I did. We pulled up the next day at our house and went for our viewing, we were the first of many that day - we weren't the only one's who had our eye on it. We left not saying a word, I was a little unsure to say I wanted it there and then - I DID 100 TIMES OVER. Me and my husband went for lunch and discussed the house, we rang half an hour later and put our offer in, it got accepted. It was FATE. It wasn't plain sailing though, we almost lost it again - I won't go into that - our seller even worked at the branch of the bank we applied for our morgage at, talk about coincidence, so we got to meet her and that made the sale of the house go more smoothly as the bumps we had in the road only helped us both as a buyer and her as a seller. We had a fantastic morgage adviser who made our dream a reality.
The hard work, tears and happiness made it worth it and it's made me appreciate this house we call home even more. I'm really proud of us.

The day we got our keys was the second best day of our lives - marrying my husband was my first.
We were lucky me and the seller had similar taste, some rooms just needed a lick of paint to our liking and family and friends also helped us paint and get our house ready in just two weeks. The only thing we seeked professional help for was some of the glossing and more intricate painting jobs, it got a little bit too much with work and wanting to move in right away. Like anyone you want to be able to find the right people and find out how much you should be paying which you can do through priceyourjob.co.uk especially if you are new to owning a home and haven't got a clue how much you should be paying - this website is very helpful at telling you the costs of some things you don't even think about, it also stops you from being ripped off which sadly happens all to often. We got our painting done without any hitches and we moved in shortly afterwards. We've been living here happily for over a year. Like any home there are always things you want to change and our next mission is to get a brand new bathroom, the original bath is still in here from 1940, it's safe to say we need an updated one. I might write a blog post when we renovate that and show you a before and after if anyone would be interested.

I'm hoping to write some room tour blog posts, as this was my original plan when I had first moved in but we had such a hectic year,  I do love these interior type posts and I hope you will too.

OOTD - 4th & Reckless ♥

I love shoes, tell me a girl who doesn't and these beauties were an exception from 4th & Reckless - A brand I had only heard about recently. 4th & Reckless sell killer boots and heels, perfect if your on the daring side and fancy something a little different , there were so many nice one's on there that it was hard to choose a pair to show you. I love my boots at the minute so I picked these hexagonal heel ankle boots which you can find on their website here - LINK -  ppst... they also sell these in khaki with a gold heel and black with a silver heel. I had a few compliments wearing these on their first outing, I was a bit unsure about wearing them out and about as I didn't want the gold heel to become scratched, but they survived a train journey and a 20 minute walk to and back from the train station and a meal with the girls without a single scratch and I'll be honest, they were rather actually quite comfortable, despite the one gentleman who told me that they looked uncomfortable - beauty is pain though.
The colour makes them go perfectly with a lot of my outfits in my wardrobe and the gold hexagonal heel makes a statement, I think that was what drew me to them - I LOVE THEM.
I'm usually a size 6.5 so i wasn't sure whether to get a 7 or a 6 but the 6 fitted perfectly - so I think they are very true to size, the quality is excellent and I'd quite happily buy the other colours also.
If your looking to add something different to your shoe collection I'd highly recommend 4th & Reckless.

P.S - How hard is it to take photos of your shoes on your feet, my poor hubby had to get on my living room floor - with my request of course to snap these beauties - blogger problems - he doesn't mind though.

Lazy Sunday's In Bed ♥

Don't you just love a lazy Sunday - I certainly do, the kitties do also.
My cat's occasionally make an appearance on my blog but you see them all over my Instagram these days. I wanted to share a kitty related post today because I know a lot of my followers on my blog and Instagram have cats. A couple of weeks ago I received this lovely cat bed in the post, I was a bit apprehensive that it was going to be used at first because I have bought beds in the past and the cats would rather sleep in the packaging it came in - that's cats for you though.
But I am pleased to say, Jim - the most awkward and fussiest cat in the whole world - has decided that this cat bed in actually comfier than my bed and hasn't been out of it since I received it.
It's a god send for me as I hate having to vacuum cat hairs week in week out.
So much so Luna had a few hours in it before she was turfed out by Jim - they are funny cats, mine are like a typical brother and sister.
You can buy this "dream" cat bed here - LINK - and it's only £19.99 too.
There are lots of different varieties for your kitties depending on how spoilt your kitty is if you want to take a look - mine would give it 10 stars if they could.
I'll leave you with one last cute photo - ENJOY YOUR SUNDAY.

Do your cats use a cat bed??

Happy Valentines Day ♥

Happy Valentine's Day you lovely lot.
This post isn't necessarily Valentines Day related but I wanted to post it today as the theme seemed very fitting.

I was recently sent some lovely goodies from *Crabtree & Evelyn and I think they deserved a mention on here, especially the biscuits. The biscuits were truly divine - available here - LINK - I actually wasn't aware that Crabtree & Evelyn sold biscuits or any confectionery to be in fact so I was surprised. These specific one's that were sent don't appear to be available on the website anymore, perhaps because they are limited edition - but there are lots of other varieties - these dark chocolate & cardamom ones in particular look yummy and are only £5.00. The packaging is really pretty too and I think they would make a lovely gift for a friend or family member and they stay really fresh in the tin too and talking of tins, I reckon you could reuse them too. These particular biscuits that I was sent were Rose & White Chocolate, not a flavour I would even think to combine but it really worked, the rose isn't to over powering but you could taste hints of it and they were so soft and buttery, I'm drooling thinking about them but they are all gone now. So next time your shopping in Crabtree & Evelyn, I'd recommend poppingsome of these biscuits in your basket, you wouldn't be disappointed that's for sure.

I was also sent some of these hand creams - LINK -  I am never normally without a hand cream especially out and about when you use public rest rooms and the soap always dries your hands out, that happens to me anyway. These little handy travel sizes mean you can just pop them in your bag for on the go and they are only £6.00, they are so soft and moisturizing, their not really greasy either like some that end up taking ages to sink into your skin are. I have currently been using the Pear & Mangolia scent and it smells lush, I love the sweet notes. They do lots of different varieties and sizes including this Gardeners Hand Therapy - perfect for those who love gardening - having a garden myself I know how sore and tired your hands can get after a day gardening so I think these are excellent and would make the perfect present for a keen gardener.

Have a lovely Valentines Day.

Happy New Year,

It's a little belated but I have been super busy with my online shop and work, I promise to visit this corner of the web more this year.
I have some posts saved in my drafts to share with you soon.

I hope you all had a lovely start to the year and I'm looking forward to what 2017 has in store for me and my husband.
2016 was a big year for us getting our first home together and I still pinch myself everyday when I wake up - speaking of waking up how lovely is this brushed cotton duvet set from Rooi in the picture above - you can buy it from here - LINK - I loved the checked print as it never goes out of style.

The kitties certainly find it comfy and having a brushed cotton duvet has been a god send this winter, as it has kept us toasty and warm.
Rooi offer a fantastic range of luxury living and their are so many items I would love to add to my wish list - having a home to decorate means endless possibilities.

Expect to see some more of me this year - I have some exciting posts planned.
