You might have seen from my previous post this week that I attended the pre opening for the Banyan Bar & Kitchen in Manchester - if not you can read all about that here - LINK.
Well... yesterday I was invited along with a few friends for an evening of cocktails and canapes.
The event was hosted in one of the Banyan's private dining rooms downstairs, which would also make a fabulous function room for a birthday or any other celebration.
We got to watch the bar man and bar lady make some of the Banyan's signature cocktails before having a go ourselves - it was my first time using a cocktail shaker and I didn't spill anything.
It was a fun experience and I'd highly recommend a night like this if you are thinking of arranging a cocktail master class here with a group of friends - there is actually a competition running on their Facebook page here - LINK - where you can win a cocktail masterclass for 10 friends and yourself, all you need to do is like the photo, tag who'd you'd take and share the photo - as easy as that.
As well as watching some of the cocktails get made we also had the opportunity to try some of the Banyan's signature cocktails too which were rather yummy and the canapes they bought out a little later were to die for too.
Do try their buttermilk chicken sliders if you can, they are soooo good.
I really liked the intimate atmosphere of the night and I think I would love to get a few friends together and do this night again, the staff were extremely polite and helpful and went that extra mile to make sure we had a fun an enjoyable experience, my three friends had a fantastic night too and I'm sure we will all be recommending this night and a visit to the Banyan, I love the relaxing atmosphere this bar oozes.
At the end of the night, their was also a little competition - I'm not sure who will win yet but a "bestoke cocktail was made using pomegranate, peach liqueur and prosecco" perfect for the shopper after a long day shopping in Manchester.
The winner gets a complimentary meal for two at the Banyan.
So watch this space.....
