On the 1st October I attended the pre opening night of the Banyan Bar and Kitchen in Manchester in Exchange Square.
In Manchester we do have a lot of bars and places to eat and being only a 10 minute train ride from the city center, it is always quite tempting to hop on the train to dine in Manchester because of the convenience.
The pre opening of the Banyan was an opportunity to try what sorts of food and drinks they had to offer before it opened to the general public, me and my husband such a good night considering it was only a Thursday.
Right in the city center - located next to the exchange square, the location is ideal for shoppers like myself, who would love a bite to eat for breakfast before shopping or a spot of lunch afterwards with a glass of wine.
The location is ideal with plenty of seating areas inside and out.
I absolutely loved the interior - the rose gold details were my favourite.
The restaurant inside isn't too crowded either - I hate being seated too close to people when I dine.
With large comfy seating areas for families and friends and smaller tables for a more intimate dining experience I think this bar caters for everyone.
What I loved most about this bar was it's style, it seemed very sophisticated but without the expensive price tag that can come with some of the more posher bars in Manchester.
A standard cocktail will set you back about £7.00 here on average, a mocktail is slightly cheaper.
and my gosh they are yummy.
The Berry Cooler was my favourite (very top photo) we did try a few different cocktails and I loved every one.
Sometimes alcohol can over power a cocktail but with the mix of the right ingredients and the style I think the Banyan Bar's cocktails offer the right je-ne-sais-quoi.
I would choose here again if I wanted a night out with the girls and a few cocktails.
I've yet to give the food a proper taste as we only got to try canapes but the mini burgers and the battered king prawns were to die for, I'd love to try a breakfast here and the Sunday roasts look delicious, don't even get me started on the desserts.
