1. Having such a great family - MOTHERS DAY is always hard for me without my mum for the fourth year, but on Sunday I spent time with my grandma, my uncle, my husband and my mother and brother in law when we all went out for a meal for mothers day which reminded me how thankful I am to have the family I have and it was also the opportunity to treat my grandma for everything she did for me last year.

2. Daffodils - I can't get enough of them and I have to have a fresh bunch on my windowsill every week now till the supermarket stops selling them, I love their bright yellow colour and how they can instantly brighten a dull room up.

3. Pizza Express for making their pizzas available to buy in the supermarket, they taste just as amazing as they do in the restaurant and their small size makes me feel less guilty about scoffing the whole thing.

4. My cute kitty Jimjam, he provides me with endless cuddles and is always so cute first thing in the morning and one of the reasons why my Monday mornings are never as bad - pets are instant mood up-lifters.

5.  Malteaster mini bunnies, they are like little pieces of heaven and are one of the reasons why I look forward to Easter every year - plus I absolutely adore bunnies.

What I Wore ♥ Karma Clothing ♥

Dress - *Karma Clothing | Bag - Primark | Black Heels - H&M

The weekend that's just gone came and went in a blur, it was the weekend my best friends Rachel Crawford from Life Of A Sweetaholic and Gina came down to Manchester, me and Rachel were seeing the band Daughtry on the Sunday because me and Rachel treated our boyfriend/husband to tickets, and we also thought that weekend could be the opportunity for all of our boyfriends/husband to finally meet each other.
It was a really good night, we started the night off in Nando's with a late tea before moving onto Revolution in Manchester - I decided to wear this gorgeous red peplum dress I was sent by Karma Clothing and it was perfect, I loved the style of it and it was very figure flattering - I painted my nails red using Barry M nail polish and used my favourite two ton tomato Clinqiue moisturizing chubby stick on my lips to complete the look.
The dress I wore is made from 95% polyester so it had some stretch in it making it the perfect bodycon dress, and it was only £6.99 in the sale section too which I think is fab for this little number.
It has unfortunately sold out now since but they have very similar dresses in their sale here for the same or similar prices.

What do you think of this look?

3. Cosmopolitan magazine for making my nights in even more worth the while - I love reading that magazine cover to cover.

4. Chris Daughtry for putting on such an amazing show yesterday night - yep I went to two concerts this weekend and I'm quite sad the weekend is over so soon.

5. Rimmel for inventing their new "Matte BB Cream" its been the only BB cream so to keep my oily skin at bay for up to 8 hours - review coming soon.

Monday always seem to be the dreaded day of week we all hate, why I don't know, partly because the weekend is over in a flash but also because it happens to be the one day of the week, I can not remove my head from that pillow no matter how hard I try, so to brighten up my Mondays with a bit of inspiration from a few other blogs I read and love including one of my favourites "Cider With Rosie" I was inspired to start up this "5 Things That Made Me Smile Last Week" post idea and write about 5 things that made me happy last week, every Monday - feel free to share your own.

1. The fact that Spring is almost here and the weather has actually been really nice, waiting at the bus stop in the warm sunshine instead of shivering and trying to stop my umbrella from turning inside out definitely makes my day better.

2. The 50% off sale Madam Rage have had on - which is on till the 19th of this month - not only did I buy the daisy play suit I had my eyes on, I also treated myself to two new dresses for the Spring & Summer for £31.00 instead of £62.00 and I got free next day delivery too - Bonus.

3. The person who created pizza, I have had pizza at least 3 times last week and they have never tasted better for some reason - I think I have a bit of an addiction at the moment, especially the pizzas from Pizza Express.

4. Antibiotics - After the worlds most painful abscess that had me wanting to rip my own tooth out for 24 hours, these magic tablets sorted out the horrendous pain I was in - thank god for medicine these days, the downside is I also lost that tooth last week because it became too wobbly and it needed to come out - sob.

5. Being able to stream the TV show Revenge online, I can not wait once a week to find out what Emily has next up her sleeve and also Jack Porter makes my days that little bit better.

What are you thankful for today?

Burts Bee's New Lip Range - Natural Lip glosses & Lip Shimmer ♥

*Burts Bee's Natural Lip glosses - £8.99

Happy Friday lovelies - I hope you have a good Friday, this day of the week always excites me.

I was really excited to try these when they popped through my letter box, I'm quite a fan of the Burts Bee's range and since I've used their lip balms a few years ago I have been converted ever since.
Burts Bee's have released a few new lip products and I received a few samples to try out and to also photograph and show you.
There are 4 products in the range so I thought rather than put them all in one post and confuse you I have split them up into two separate posts.

Pictured above are Burt's Bee's Natural Lip Glosses available in a variety of 12 gorgeous pearlescent shades.
These lip glosses contain botanical oils, jojoba esters, sunflower polyglycerides and beeswax which moisturize and soften your lips whilst giving you a long lasting pop of colour, the best part is they are 100% natural, delivering you the perfect colour and shine to your lips.
Influenced by this season, these colours are perfect for the upcoming spring and summer and make a great alternative to your usual lipbalm.
The applicator is a wand with a sponge tip that holds just the right amount of product to apply you your lips on the go, they have a  lovely vanilla smell and as soon as the product is on your lips I thought they instantly felt soft and kissable.
I also love the packaging, the twisty cap resembles a honey comb instantly making Burt's Bee's products recognizable.

Burts Bee's Lip Shimmer - £5.99

The second product above is Burt's Bee's Lip Shimmer available in the following 11 shimmery shades pictured above.
These slender tubes are another alternative to your usual lip balm if lip glosses aren't your thing, they contain antioxidant rich fruit seed oils and shea butter that nourish your lips, with their pearly shades, they add some shimmer to your lips while refreshing them with their infused peppermint oils which you can smell as soon as you take the lid off, there is nothing more refreshing than having this product tingle on your lips, its quite hard to resist the minty scent once it is on there too.
After trying these lips shimmers I found the formula is nice and smooth and my lips instantly felt hydrated,

Make sure you keep a look out for part two of this post coming soon.

What are your thoughts on this lip range?

Beauty:Miners Fresh Faced Concealer ♥

*Miners Fresh Faced Concealer - £2.99

I've blogged about the "Miners Fresh Faced Range" a few times on my blog, their fresh faced powders is one of my favourites for setting foundation and giving you a flawless finish.
So when these popped through my letter box, I couldn't wait to try them, concealer is an everyday essential in my make up bag, I use it to hide dark circles under my eyes and brighten my skin in this area, I also use it after I apply my foundation to hide any blemishes I have and I dab it in till its blended.
You get quite a lot in this little tube for only £2.99 and the applicator is a wand with a sponge tip - a little like lipgloss - which is perfect for applying under your eyes, the texture is quite creamy and it blends in perfectly to ensure an even coverage.
There is currently three shades in the collection that I have swatched above so you can see them clearer.
I have been using the peach shade as I have a beige skin tone, these concealers are also paraben free along with the rest of the range, this means they are extra gentle on your skin whether you are using them alone or over your foundation.
They are available online here and your local pharmacy.

Have you tried these concealers?
What did you think?

What I Wore - Cocktails With The Girls ♥

| Floral Playsuit - *Warehouse | Grey Heels - Primark | Black Snakeskin Clutch - Primark |

I saw this playsuit a few weeks ago and fell in love with it straight away on the Warehouse website, with the weather getting nicer and a little warmer too I thought it would be a lovely spring piece to have hanging in my wardrobe because not only could I wear it during the day with tights till it gets warmer, it also makes the perfect outfit for a night out with some added heels or wedges.
I decided to wear it for a night out for one of my best friend's birthday celebrations, we had a night out in Chorlton at a cocktail bar where we had a few cocktails.
I wanted to keep it classy as it was just a few drinks with my hubby and a few friends so I decided to dress it up with some grey heels - which I got in a sale in Primark a few weeks ago for only £6.00 - along with a little black clutch bag I also bought at the same time.
It was the perfect outfit for cocktails with the girls - you can view it online here -

I thought I'd include some photos from that night including one of the birthday girl Steph at the far end and also our yummy pink lady cocktails which had caramel in them.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend as always, they always seem to go far to quick for my liking.

Do you like this playsuit?
How would you wear it?

How I Spent My February ♥

I thought I'd introduce this regular feature on my blog so I can tell you what I have been getting up to each month, I have seen this feature on some of my favourite blogs and while I do love reading beauty reviews and outfit posts, its always a breath of fresh air to see what my favourite bloggers get up to in their spare time.

So this post is all about what I got up to in February:

Me and my hubby finally bit the bullet and signed up to one of these unlimited movie passes for £15.90 a month at Cineworld - you can sign up online topcash, although mine hasn't tracked so I'm going to query that with them.
For £15.90 a month we can each go and see as many films as we want considering one cinema ticket is almost £10.00 these days and you also get discounts at the cinema on food and drink as well as restaurants nearby, so you can grab something to eat beforehand - perfect date night.

You will know from previous blog posts I had a job interview for a new part time job - thank you for the lovely people who wished me luck on instagram - it must of worked because I got the job,
I'm now working a few hours a week at my local Peacocks store, whilst retail isn't everyone's dream job, I love chatting and meeting new people and I'm really enjoying it so far, plus its working in a fashion based environment which I also love.
I still have my other job, so this one is to help earn more pennies towards mine and my husbands first proper home together.

On the 8th February, one of my favorite authors Paige Toon was doing a book signing in Manchester at Waterstones so I went along to buy her new book to get it signed and also to have a little chat with her.
She's always so lovely and down to earth and if you haven't read any of her books, search for them on your kindle or Ipad, and download a sample, you won't be disappointed.

While I was also in Manchester I went into my local Primark to pick up these adorable pug socks which were only £2.00, I do love primarks socks and being obsessed with pugs I couldn't resist buying these after seeing them a few times on instagram.

Next up was Valentines Day, it was my first as a wifey this year but since me and my husband don't really make a huge deal out of it I wasn't expecting anything other than a card and whilst I was pressing like on everyone's bouquets of flowers they had got off their other halfs on instagram, I couldn't help feeling jealous.
So imagine my surprise when the flower man knocked on my door and delivered this beautiful bouquet.
This definitely earned the husband extra brownie points.
We were going to go out for Valentines day but we decided a night in with a fancy takeaway was much better than sitting in a crowded restaurant waiting ages for overpriced food.

On the 21st February I got to meet up with my girls Rachel and Georgina at Meadowhall in Sheffeild, I saw Rachel the month before when she stayed at mine over for New Years but I hadn't seen Gina since December, so it was nice to have a good catch up and shop, we went to Handmade Burger Co which never fails to satisfy me, the burgers are incredible - its a shame my nearest one is at Meadowhall.
We had a good gossip whilst we ate and then took lots of photos afterwards.
I get to see these girls again this month when they come down to Manchester for the weekend.

I picked up some of the New Models Own Hyper Gel polishes while I was in boots as they were on 3 for 2 and I really wanted to try them out, I am a bit disappointed because not only did they chip within a few hours even with a top coat, I definitely think Barry M's gel polishes are better quality and a lot cheaper.

On the 24th February me and the hubby had tickets to go and watch Jack Whitehall at the Lowry in Salford, it was his warm up show before his big arena tour, we were about 8 rows from the front too so we got a great view, and he was so funny, if your going to his arena tour, you will love his new material.
We went and got tea at Pizza Express first but because we had to wait an hour we managed to get £30 taken off our bill which was a bonus so we got a huge pizza and a drink for under £7.50 each.
It was my first time at Pizza Express too so I will most definitely be going back.

So that's a round up of my February, I feel like it came and went in a bit of a blur really.
I can't believe we are in March already.
