Celebrate Valentines Day With Miners ♥

Tomorrow is Valentines today and while I don't make a big thing out of it - big teddy bears are just not my thing , a bunch of lowers would make my day since I hardly get them these days, I have absolutely loved all the valentines day inspired pieces of make up and valentines inspired outfit posts I have seen on the "blogosphere"

To me personally when I think of valentines day I always think of the colours "red and pink" so when this parcel fell through my letter box and I opened it up, I was surprised to see these three key pieces of make up from *Miners that they sent me on the run up to Valentines day with a little card saying "Happy Valentines," such a thoughtful gesture and I couldn't wait to test them out.

Me and my husband are going out for a meal tomorrow night, we don't normally on Valentines but it is our first valentines married so its only right we do so right.

I plan on using these three pieces when I go out tomorrow night, I have a lovely floral play suit I got this weekend from Warehouse that I plan on wearing – I'll be sure to post an OOTD this weekend.

Miners Moisture Effect Lipstick is a lovely moisturizing lipstick that goes on smoothly, its quite pigmented  with coral /red undertones too and you only new one coat of this for a bright pop of colour on your lips.
Its quite a moisturizing lipstick also so if your after a matte colour this one probably isn't for you.
The only problem I had while wearing this is, if your eating or drinking you will need to reapply it as it does get messy, I always drink through a straw because I think lipstick stains round a glass just don't look that classy and always choose food that you can eat with a knife and fork, pizza is a no no when your wearing lipstick, it gets all over your fingers!!

Miners The Cheek Of It!! Blush Stick is a new type of blush I have had he pleasure of trying this week, I am so used to using the powder blushes because they have always worked really well for my skin, but this little beauty is the perfect size to pop in your bag and I love that you don't need a brush, you simply twist it up you would with a lip balm and apply it to your cheeks before blending it in.
This pink shade is perfect for most skin tones and it looks really subtle when your make up is applied fully.
- This has persuaded me to try more creamy blushers in the future -

Miners Nail Colour in 1000 Kisses - I've not tried this shade yet but I will be painting my nails with it tonight because I know it will match my outfit for tomorrow, its a lovely natural pink shade with a bit of pearl shimmer in it, perfect if you want to create a french manicure.
Miners Nail polishes are quite pigmented, one coat is normally perfect for each nail I find - I have some lovely bright summery shades from their collection.

If your celebrating valentines with your boyfriend/fiance/husband or even the girls make sure you dress up tomorrow night and have an amazing night and maybe even give these products a go if your local pharmacy stocks them, if not, you can order online, it doesn't have to be for valentines day - I would highly recommend the fresh faced powder as my favorite go to product from their range and there blush stick.

What are your plans for tomorrow night?

Beauty: My Top Three Make Up Must Have's & My Tips & Tricks ♥

I am one of them girls along with the other millions of you that would love to own every luxury make up item in the whole wide world and I normally make a beeline for my local Superdrug or Boots when I see the latest must have beauty product in the blogging world, however this post is a little different, I wanted share with you what my top three make up "must have" products would be if I could only pick three in the entire world for the rest of my life and also my favorite top three make up "tips" I  use when applying my make up - feel free to steal this post idea and share your favourite key pieces of make up.

Mascara - Mascara is my number one product I could not live without and if I had to only choose one product for the rest of my life I would pick mascara.
My eyes don't look awake until I have at least three coats of mascara on them and it’s amazing how long your lashes can be made these days.
I do like to wear false lashes but sometimes they are a nightmare to apply for a night out and you always have that worry that they are going to peel away from your eyelids, this has happened to many times on a night out, so I like a product such as this Lights, camera, flashes statement mascara that can give you bold and longer lashes for those nights out.
I tend to apply more to my top lashes and pop one coat on my bottom lashes just so it doesn't look to caked on.

Top Tip - When applying your mascara apply your second or third coat while it is still wet, don't wait for it to dry - I do this all the time to avoid spider leg looking eyes and I find you can comb through your lashes easier, also zigzagging your brush rather than going in just one direction helps you coat your lashes so you reach every single individual eyelash.

Blush - I don't think your face is complete without a wash of colour to your cheeks using a blush powder such as this Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in shade pink berry , I particularly love baby pink shades which I swap for warmer shade in  the summer time.
I think a blush can really sculpt your face depending on the shape of yours and I feel like my face always looks healthier with a flush of colour.
I have also recently been introduced to cheek stains which I have never thought about using before as I thought they would just look like you've splotched a spot of colour on your cheek, but they blend in surprisingly well and most cheek stains double up as a lip tints too which I think is a great idea.

Top Tip - When applying your blush place two fingers next to your nose and apply your blush beyond that so your applying it in the right place, I also find the good old smiling trick works where you apply the colour to the apples of your cheeks.

Lipstick - I never used to be a big wearer of lipstick until I first joined the blogging world, now I have quite a collection in a variety of shades, baby pinks and coral's being my key shades to go to.
I think they finish off make up perfectly and I love how you can accessorize your lipstick with your nail varnish which I try to do all the time.
I am a huge fan of the of the lip crayons that seem to be popping up everywhere, I like that they moisturise your lips whilst adding a pop of colour at the same time.
This particular LipSurgence Skinutive lip tint gives you a personalised pink tint based on your skins natural PH.

Top Tip - I always apply foundation to my lips before I apply my lip colour, I find this base helps prolong colour and I also blot my lips after using lipstick before applying a second coat and doing the same.

Face powder makes a perfect sealer to set lipstick in place.

What are your top three make up must have's?

Fashion: What I Wore ♥

*Blue Check Trapeze Dress - Fashion Union | Faux Leather Jacket - H&M | Boots - Primark (Last Season) | *Beige Faux Snakeskin Bag -  RoseWholesale

Today I thought I would pop and outfit of the day up, I have had this blue check dress for a few months now,  and I love the print on it so much, with the tartan trend still quite popular I wanted something that wasn't red because lets face it, my tartan addiction would be beginning to get a little bit out of hand.
I've already spied a tartan peter an collar top I want on Glamorous but I'm toying with the idea of buying it because of all the pretty Spring colours that seem to be popping up in the shops recently,
I have worn this dress a few times and I love that you can style in in so many ways.
I wore this dress today with my faux leather jacket I bought recently from H&M and my studded boots that I bought last year from Primark,
To the top part of the dress was a little bit to loose for my liking because I like my dresses fitted so it looks like I have a waist so I popped a tan skinny belt around the middle.
I think the trapeze style is meant to be quite loose so this is a perfect dress for you if you like loose fitting dresses round the middle.
Its still a little cold to be bear legging it in this weather so I wore mine with tights, although I know I will still be able to wear this dress in Spring without tights.
I also accessorized this outfit with this beige faux snake skin bag which you can also buy in black from Rose Wholesale, this bag retails for an amazing £7.72 GBP, it has lots of pockets and compartments inside and I love that you can carry it in two ways, I am loving the shoulder strap it comes with also because I sometimes hate having to carry a bag on my arm especially if I have loads of shopping bags so the shoulder strap is pretty handy.

I visited Krispy Kreme Doughnuts today with the husband and they have the cutest heart shaped doughnuts available to buy to celebrate valentines day, I grabbed one of course to eat with a hot chocolate - Sundays are for treating yourself right??

Enjoy the rest of your weekend lovelies.
