Friendships ♥

When I started this little corner of my world, I started it because I wanted a place to write down my thoughts, I never in a million years thought I would meet some of my best friends on here.
I like that blogger is a friendly place, I like to think that everyone who you meet on here is as lovely in real life,
I've had the opportunity to meet some bloggers of blogs I have followed for a while, and I think it's always nice to put a face to their blog, it's almost as if you can get to know someone really well just from reading their posts.

I always hope my readers can get to know me from reading my personal posts.

I first met Rachel, Georgina Balmer & Rachael C in 2011 when I started my blog, they were the first blogs I followed and I clicked with all these girls straight away, reading there blogs,

Me, Rachel & Georgina first met up at a beauty event in the Autumn 2011 in Manchester and we haven't looked back since,  I talk to these girls most days and I text Rachel daily, I feel lost without a daily text form that girl, and she probably knows me better than anyone these days.
I got the opportunity to meet the Rachael C from JustRach the following year in the Spring, we spent a full day shopping, it was like we'd known each other for years .

We meet up as often as we can an always plan as much as we can in advance, we have recently arranged a girly night out in Manchester next month and I'm off to see Bruno Mars at the end of next month with Rachel Crawford when I get the train up to Nottingham at the weekend.

We have countless memories together and we plan to make more in the future because that's what friendship is about, it's not about how many friends you have or how popular you are, it's about people you can count on who will be there when you need them most.

| From Top Left - Me, Rachel Crawford (From Life Of A Sweetaholic ) Georgina Balmer (Through These Brown Eyes) | Middle - Jenn, Helen, Me, Steph | Bottom photo - Rachel C - (From JustRach) and me |

I have some other amazing girls in my life, my other best friend Steph who was recently my maid of honour at my wedding, and two other lovely girls Helen & Jenn, who I have met through other friends, and sometimes that's how is you meet other people - always make the effort to get to know someone - they could be your future best friend,

I think the best way to show how much your friends mean to you is to send them a special card on their birthday to remind them how amazing they are.
* Hallmark have a new range of best friend cards which are perfect for each and every single one of your friends including the one's I have pictured below - the first one is one of my favorite.

I have been let down growing up by girls I thought were my true friends, but the truth is I don't regret the times we spent together, the memories and fun times I had will always make me smile - but the friends who matter the most are the ones who are in your present and future and make the effort to stay in your future,
These girls are all important to me.

Have you met any of your friends from blogging?

Wedding DIY - Making A Memory Last A Forever ♥

You may have seen my post on instagram earlier - you can follow me here if your not already,
This idea came to when I saw that another lady had done something similar on a facebook page I joined called "Cyprus Brides, the next chapter,"
I always find after a special occasion you have all these pretty items but nowhere to put them but in the back of your cupboard - I was thinking exactly the same.
So I went on the hunt for box frames online and found this one.
"I think this is a brilliant idea if your getting married or if you have already gotten married"

I bought my frame for a bargain £12.99 from a website called The Range - I can't seem to find it on the website now - but I bought it just last week so if you live near one, they should sell them.
The frame come with a magnetic door which you open and close and the back of the frame is a cushioned fabric so you can pin your items to the back of it - pins are also included which is a bonus.

As you can see my frame is filled with all little bits and bobs from our wedding day that mean a lot to me,
The coral bow that I have tied around the frame is actually one of our chair sashes that we used on the day for the wedding/reception and but the butterfly badge on the bow was taken from our ring cushion.

You can also see the cards that me and my husband gave to each other on our wedding day, naturally he had to buy a bigger card than me, but I love knowing they they are somewhere safe, I also included the card we got from a friend because she popped a photo of us on the front and I love that photo because we look so happy and we didn't even realize it was taken.

Other bits include our first wedding invitation that I designed for our guests a year ago, my memory locket I had hanging from my rose and butterfly bouquet, the grooms rose button hole, our cake topper, my garter I wore all day, the wooden plaque that the registrar gave us as a present after our ceremony and finally our message in a bottle wedding favors that we gave our guests.

You can choose to hang it on your wall but I think I was a little scared of it falling off as its quiet a heavy frame, so I have popped mine on top of our cabinet where we have all of our wedding photos,
Its nice to have something to look at and its a completely unique idea for a wedding present for someone you know who is getting married - just make sure your sneaky about collecting things from their big day.

What do you think of this idea?
Will you be making your own?

I hope your having a wonderful weekend and you enjoyed that extra hour in bed, I know I did.

I got my knitted cardigan featured on my blog today from Fashion Union a  few days ago and since I've worn it, I've not wanted to take it off, its so warm and cosy.
You can find this knitted gem here for only £22.00.

Mad About Tartan ♥

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months you will know tartan has made a huge comeback and lots of clothing websites all have key pieces in this print.
I will be honest, I wasn't really that struck on the print at first, I tend to be slow on the bandwagon.
Don't get me wrong I do love tartan, I was always a huge fan of the tartan skirt, I had one as a little girl and I got two when tartan was in fashion a few years back - a skirt that is now to short for my liking.
It was only when I wore my dress from John Jack - featured in my favorites list that my love grew all over again.
I am on the hunt at the minute for a tartan coat.
I think this trend is one you should wear on its own and keep it simple for it to work, simple tartan pieces like a scarf will brighten up a plain black coat or add a bright pop of color to an outfit.

These pieces are my favorites - think of it as a wish list of such.
I need to get my hands on the blue dress  its so cute.

What do you think of this trend?

A Night In With Domino's ♥

I am sorry in advance if I leave you wanting a domino's after looking at these photos - even I want to eat it all over again.

On Sunday we decided the best cure for the night before was to order a Domino's Pizza,
Sundays are for eating and relaxing right - we made sure we ate the whole lot.

We used the Domino's App on our ipad which make it really easy to pick what kind of pizza we wanted, and there lots of choices to pick from, my mouth was watering before we'd even ordered it.

We ordered a portion of chicken strippers to start us off with, I always love using the dips you get with the pizza's to dip the starters in - these didn't last for long and they are always so yummy.

The pizza we ordered was a large half and half - not everyone can decide on a flavour  and I love anything hot and spicy so we halved the pizza down the middle and got American Hot and Mighty Meaty with a hot dog stuffed crust between us, the hot dog stuffed crust is amazing, but filling so make sure you maybe have 4 of you if you buy this size pizza - you get 10 pieces each so that's about two and a bit slices each.

Domino's is not complete without a dessert so we ordered two tubs of Ben and Jerry's "Cookie Dough" and "Caramel Chew Chew" to share between us all - who doesn't love Ben & Jerry's.

We washed our tea down with a big bottle of fanta and coke zero,

The rest of Sunday evening was spent in a  food coma.
I absolutely love Domino's and I am glad we live round the corner from one, I don't tend to eat bad food all the time but the odd treat is worth it and it was the best end to the weekend.

Do you love Domino's?
Whats your favourite pizza??

Life-Hacks For Grown-Ups ♥

Remember when you first discovered that duct tape was the greatest pet hair remover of all time?
Or when you found out a little clear nail varnish would stop the ladder in your tights in its scruffy little tracks?
These uncommon solutions to common problems are 'life hacks' - ways of bypassing frustration with innovative thinking and, very often, an everyday household object.

There's one everyday household object that has taken life hacks to new heights; your computer.
Nowadays the internet is teeming with websites dedicated to making your life easier by providing simple, efficient solutions that let you get on with the important things.
Here's a list of our favourites:

Give Me Tap
Give Me Tap allows you to look up nearby places that will let you to fill up water bottles for free, saving you money and the planet from an early demise.
They have an app, so you can look up refill zones on the go, and they also sell stylish water bottles, the proceeds from which fund water projects in Africa.

Task Pandas

This great initiative puts you in touch with friendly, reliable and community rated 'Pandas' from your local area who can help with small jobs you may lack the time or expertise to get done on your own. Whether it be assembling furniture, cleaning, or plumbing, this site will let you post the task for free and decide the amount you're willing to pay to get it ticked off your list.

Pay As U Gym
This is perfect for the 'sometimes' gym-goer, the 'occasional' swimmer, and the 'oops, it's January and I can't fit into any of my clothes' exercise class aficionado. Pay As U Gym gives you a pass for a local gym for as little as a single session, meaning you can bypass the monthly/yearly membership many gyms require and only pay for what you use.

OOTN - Chi Chi Lourdres Dress ♥

Hey lovelies, today I have a beautiful dress to show you from Chi Chi, I really wanted to take it away with me to Cyprus but it was far to dressy for the night time for a holiday, since we didn't really go anywhere extravagant apart from Aiya Napa, and that was more of a tutu and neon kind of night.

This dress is more the sort of dress you wear for a fancy affair.
I actually haven't had chance to wear this beaut yet, so I'm not going to lie and say I wore it out at bla bla, the truth is I will be wearing it but not for a month or two yet, I'm saving this *Chi Chi Lourdres Dress for my husbands Christmas works do which is at event city in December and them do's are always an excuse to dress up, plus I think this is right up the street for Christmas because of the colours.
Gold is always a colour I associate with Christmas, now I'm not going to talk about Christmas just yet because we are still in October and I'm still in "Summer" in my little world - says me who actually purchased some Christmas presents today.

But, I wanted to pop on this dress and show you all how pretty it is, I love these sort of dresses because the material is the swishy kind, which are really fun when your up dancing at the end of the night and there also really flattering for all shapes and sizes.
I'm not a big fan of to in your face dresses but the detail on the top half is just about right and grabs your attention.

Chi Chi never fail to disappoint me and I'd have an endless supply of there dresses hanging in my wardrobe if I had all the money in the world and the wardrobe space and the fancy occasions to go with it.

If you are after a party dress for the upcoming months??
For Christmas or New Years - the website is one you have a look on.

Have you lusting after any of their dresses??

Bodyshop: Honeymania Moisture Body Scrub ♥

I got sent this about a month ago, and have loved using it.
The body scrub is one of a number of products from the Honeymania Bath & Body Collection - RRP £9

Honey is known for being a natural moisturizer, as well as being the stuff you love spreading on your toast, its known to soften and smooth your skin.
The honey in these products has come all the way from the Ethiopian rain forests where it has been organically hand harvested.

* Some wording has been used from the bodyshop press release.

This body scrub I am blogging about is absolute heaven,
Not only does it smell good enough to eat - like all bodyshop products,
I have been using mine in the shower, since I have come back from my holiday my tan has been fading but I have been exfoliating with this weekly, it smooths on and leaves your skin feeling super soft after washing it off in the shower.
It definitely is a piece of luxury without the calories,

There is a few products in this range such as the bubble bath melt, body butter, shower gel, lip balm, soap and an eau de toilette spray - you can find them here - I know there is an offer on at the minute where if you spend £30 you get £15.00 off instore - perfect for xmas.

Our Holiday In Cyprus At Nissi Beach Resort ♥

As you already know we got married in Cyprus, we also spent two weeks here with family and friends which made it that bit more special, making lifelong memories.
It was our first time in Cyprus and I think by far it was the best holiday I have ever had.
I'm not going to bore you with everything I did, although I will post some photo's of the highlights of our holiday - I promise more beauty and fashion related post will resume.

We stayed at Nissi Beach Resort along Nissi Bay, we picked here because we were also getting married here and the hotel was simply a minute walk away from the beach, as well as 10 minutes away from Aiya Napa where my friends were staying, so it was ideal really.
There we lots of hotels along this Nissi Beach though which were just as lovely and you can easily walk all the way up to more beaches along this stretch of beach.

We did a few trips with family and friends including the "Aphrodite Boat Ride" for 20 euros which lasted about 5 hours which is completely worth the money, it even included a yummy lunch, the caption even got us on the top of the ship after someone - i still don't have a clue who it was - cheekily pulled him aside to tell him we were getting married halfway through the trip.
He announced to the whole boat that we were getting married on a microphone and bought us out three bottles of champers for our friends and family, it was the nicest gesture and even more because we weren't expecting it.

The captain was so lovely, I wasn't sure if I was recovering from the night before in Aiya Napa or I was seasick, I spent about 2 hours below deck for the first half feeling like I wanted to curl up and die but he gave me a sea sickness tablet and it did the trick and he even made sure I was okay, despite all the other people on board.

We spent a day up in Protaras where my uncle was staying, which was a bus ride away for 1 euro 50, if you love views and pretty places, its worth a visit and is an ideal place to stay in Cyprus if you want somewhere a little quiet with nice sandy beaches.

One the last day of our trip we also did the Red Bus Trip to Famagusta with a little shopping trip fitted in and we also visited Varosha Ghost Town - you have to go on this trip  - It takes you across the Turkish border of Cyprus and you get to visit and hear about the abandoned city of Varosha Ghost Town, not a lot of stories send a chill down my spine but this story did and its a whole city that has been abandoned since 1974, we visited the beach where the green fence has been put up, and you could see bullet holes in the hotels and huge chunks ripped out of buildings where they had been bombed, it was really sad.
You weren't allowed to take photos of the hotel or the building but if you google it, its really eerie.

I'm not going to bore you anymore about my trip but here are some final photos of my time in Cyprus.
If you want any more info of where I stayed, got married, give me an email and I'll be more than happy to help.
