Miners Maxi Waterproof Mascara & A Miners Festival Essential Beauty Giveaway {CLOSED] ♥

I am here today with another new product by miners,
Mascara's are an everyday essential and I am always trying every mascara I can, as I'm still yet to find the perfect mascara.
Rimmel's scandal eyes is a favourite of mine at the minute but I am on the look out for the perfect waterproof mascara,

This mascara I have tried is waterproof, these are more perfect for all day wear as I find my eyes sometimes water in the wind, plus if you have any special events to go to this summer such as weddings, you will definitely need a waterproof mascara for streak free tears and those days by the beach,

This mascara retails for only £3.49 on there website here - which is a bargain price.

I am quite pleasantly surprised how long it has made my lashes too, the formula and brush is quite good for application and it lasted all day without any smudges.
and it comes off really easily with make up remover - I know some waterproof mascaras can be stubborn.

Festival season is coming up, so Miners sent me some key festival essentials,
I already have a few of these products myself so rather than being greedy and keeping them I'm holding a mini giveaway where you can win one of these waterproof mascaras from this post, a mood gloss - a clear gloss that changes colours depending on your lips ph - you can see my post on them lip
glosses here
and lastly a grapefruit lip o tint that smells amazing - you can also see my post on them here,

Miners are partnering up with Vanity Van and are offering the first 50 beauty festival goers the whole mood gloss collection on them if they book in for a make up treatment at Glastonbury this year - for more information visit Miners.

To win these three beauty products please fill in the rafflecopter form below.
This giveaway is international and will end on the 10th May,

17 Miracle Matte Pressed Powder ♥

I have been using this powder since January, and one of these usually last me about 2 months.
I have really oily skin and its a nightmare when I wear foundation,
I use a pressed powder on top to keep control of excess shine but did not seem to have a lot of look with some powders.
The main one I had been using was the clear complexion by Rimmel as I hate clogging up my skin with lots of make up so I try to use products that help clear your skin as well as keep oil under control.

This 17 version from Boots is only £3.99 - you can find it here - its currently on 3 for 2 at the minute,
The handy compact comes with a sponge for application and a mirror which means you don't always have to carry a mirror around with you.
Its does say that it keeps shine at bay for up to 16 hours, it didn't work for that long for me but it certainly lasted longer than any powder I have tried, it does last me roughly 4 hours before I need to top it up but my skin does have less shine,

I would definitely recommend it if you have oily skin around your chin, nose and forehead.
I have been using this on top of my Garnier BB cream which I use for a base foundation and this silky powder gives a nice flawless finish - definitely my favorite product this month,

Have you used this powder before?
Did it work for you?

The dress on the left is the Chi Chi Lourdes Dress - £47.99
I love the colour and most of all the pattern on this dress, it looks really unique and this is a piece I would wear on holiday teamed with some gladiator sandals for the evening, this dress teamed with a nice summer glow would look lovely.

The dress on the right is the Chi Chi Regina Dress - £47.99
This dress would be perfect for those evening meals that you tend to go out for more when the nights get warmer, or even those date nights to the cinema with your other half or even the girls followed by cocktails afterwards, the detailing on the neck area is so pretty.

The dress on the left is the Chi Chi Jade Dress - £53.99
This dress is currently one I will most likely be buying, I have me hen do coming up in Septemeber, and this dress is perfect for any bride to be, I'm going for a really dressy theme and this dress is perfect.
I also think this dress is perfect for any weddings you may have coming up in the summer, the flower applique detailing really sets this dress off and the bottom half is perfect for twirling in all day long.

The dress on the right is the Chi Chi Inocenta Dress - £49.99
This dress is perfect for day wear in the summer, lace is always on trend and I think this could be a very versatile dress for a lot of different occasions this season, I would wear this during the day with some wedges for a really girly daytime look...

Total...
£199.96

I didn't do to bad did I?

Spring/Summer Primark, Jane Norman Purchases ♥

I can't believe how lovely the weather has been, it was so sunny yesterday I even managed to get an hour or so in the pub beer garden near me, I'm so excited because I know summer is around the corner and its almost less than 5 months till Cyprus.

I've been shopping and buying little bits over the week instead of in one go and I have found some lovely pieces at some great prices, the shop where I work is having a closing down sale so I have been getting first dibs on sale items which I have been marking down - sneaky...

I also went to Primark on Wednesday because I was after a dress I'd seen a girl wearing....

I didn't buy an awful lot, just a few bits and pieces but I will show you a few items I've bought over the past month or so.

I bought these two dresses - the one on the left is a striped midi dress - I featured it in my spring/summer wish list here - This was £7.00
The dress on the right is the one I was after, the print is so pretty and its a really flattering dress if you have a bigger bottom half - This was £13.00

As well as these - I also picked up some shoes, I actually was even meant to go in for shoes but these were first two pairs of pumps were reduced to £3.00 each, the sandals on the ends are a favourite of mine and I normally buy them in every colour every year - these are a fabulous £2.50,

I did buy a few other bits like underwear but I didn't think it was really worth showing you that.

These items I bought are from Jane Norman, I get 20% off as an employee off sale items so I have been taking advantage of this recently.

This dress was only £5.00 reduced from £50.00 - I got it for £4.00 - for that price I could not refuse, I don't have anywhere to wear it yet but.... I'm sure I will find an occasion.

I picked up these chiffon high waisted shorts a few weeks ago, they come without a belt but I have plenty of small belts I can pop on them, these were reduced to £3.00 but I got them for £2.40,

Back at the start of March I bought this butterfly maxi dress, I loved this dress the whole time it was in store but I didn't want to pay the £60 price tag and when it went in the sale, it was still too much, until one came in store in my size so I had to snap it up with my discount,
I plan to wear this the night before my wedding to a meal, its such a pretty dress.
I payed £24.00 for this,

I bought these boots last Friday for only £5.60 - they were £45,
They were £7.00 in the sale before discount,
The other week also I had a little look round my local charity shops - I don't see the difference in buying from eBay or a car boot, in my opinion as long as it in good condition I'll quite happily wear it.

These dresses are both from H&M and they look like they've never been worn,
The floral one was from Oxfam and I payed £2.99 and the playsuit was from another charity shop and I payed £3.50 for it,
so I paid £6.50 for these which would of cost me triple in the shop brand new.
Which buys are your favourite?

OOTD She Likes - Vintage Floral - ♥

Last Friday I attended a wedding reception with my fiance, it was a friend of his who had got married so we went along for the evening meet up at this gorgeous place,
It was so nicely decorated and it also gave me a few inspiration ideas for our own wedding.

It was a lovely night, the best part had to be the bacon barms and fish and chips that came out at about 11 o'clock at night, that has to be be the best food you can eat after a few glasses or rose, and I talked endlessy about my own wedding plans as everyone was asking - it it possible to tire yourself out with wedding talk? cause I think I've succeeded.

| Cindy Blue Peplum Top - She Likes - £15.00 | Bodycon Skirt - H&M - £3.99 | Heels - SoYouShoes |

I got this gorgeous top last week from She Likes and wondered where I could wear it before this night as its quite dressy, but I think it can be worn more casually with some skinny jeans and flats.
I love the floral vintage design on it - because the top had quite a lot of detail on, I wanted to keep my bottom half a little bit plainer so I didn't take to much attention away from the top.

I did love this outfit and felt very sophisticated in it with my glass or rose all night.

Me & The Fiance - :)

Have you bought from She Likes before?

Men Vs Mirrors ♥

When you think about it these days, men are more conscious when it comes to male grooming,
I should know because I live with my fiance and its a bit of a battle on a night out who has the mirror, the hairdryer or the straighteners first,

He isn't one of these guys who moisturize and spend hours getting ready - I know there are men out there who take hours to get ready, quite personally I'd rather it be me who takes the longest to get ready.

When you have these gorgeous male actors on TV I think this encourages men to want to look after there "look", and it has been estimated that the male grooming category revenue has increased 6 % per year since 2006 to 33 billion dollars in America with male celebrities even using nail polish and anti aging products,

To be quite honest though, if I was a guy I'd want to look like the likes of Ryan Gosling.
Especially when he was also voted the most stylish man this month too,

One of the most popular male grooming products is skincare and its added and extra 2 billion to the global beauty market, I know myself a lot of brands that produce women's skincare have now started to do a range for men such as Dove - I will be quite honest too, my fiance has sneakily used my simple moisturizer a few times in the past after a shave,

As well as grooming, men are turning to beauty salons to use sunbeds, get spray tans and even waxing,
A recent survey by first4lawyers showed that because men have pampering themselves and getting leg waxes, 10% of them have had to suffer a painful wax related injury  - us girls know how painful it is and if I'm quite truthful I'd rather use the good old fashioned girls razor.

When it comes to male grooming, I do love my man to take care of his appearance but if he had more bottles in our bathroom than I did, I think I'd have to have a few words.

What are your thoughts on male grooming, do you really care about how groomed or how many beauty products a guy has??

My Wedding Hairspiration's #2 ♥

Back at the end of February I posted my first my wedding hairspiration's post here,
Back then I was looking at more hair up posts - but I did say that I might change my mind - I know myself better than I thought,
I've recently been swaying more and pinning more half up half down wedding hair ideas after seeing that quite a lot of the brides who got married at the same place as I will be had hair down styles.

My hair is long and I rarely have it curly,
I did mention that it will be 30 degree heat and it will be hot, but I've also been informed that its actually quite breezy where I am - since we are overlooking the sea.

So yep - I changed my mind again!!

These are some of the photo's I have decided to collect for when I do get my hair done, I'll take these photo's to the salon for inspiration - and I hope I won't be changing my mind again.

The top two are my favorite and the first one is something I can see myself having wheras I love the undone look of the second one . - I love the french plaited look, I think it looks really grecian and the waves just add to the romantic look.

Which ones do you love??

6 Months To Go - My Journey Of A Bride To Be #3 ♥

I'm here again with another wedding post - if your reading this and following my journey I hope you love reading these posts.

So its now officially less than half a year now till I will be in Cyprus saying "I do" overlooking this stunning view and exchanging vows with the one person I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with.

I will be honest I have suddenly started to panic and I realised that I should probably be doing more than what I have done so far,
I think the half year mark has finally made me realise how fast time goes and I've started to plan a bit more,

When I booked this wedding, I wanted it based around the whole beach theme, seashells, turqouise ect, after a few months I changed my mind as it seemed a little cliche and I change my mind more often than the weather.
