Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipstick Shade 22 ♥

I've been lusting over these since they came out last year, I love how pretty the and simple the packaging is to, and the "Kate Moss Signature" trademark gives this lipstick a girlie edge,

I've seen this shade on a few blogs recently and I just love it,
Its quite a bright red, with a hint of pink in it - a bit daring for some.
But I love something vibrant that stands out, for everyday wear,
My everyday make ups quite minimal so i like to make the most of one feature.

I only started wearing lipstick after last year after joining the blogger world and I've got a huge obsession with it now and i think I own over 20 different shades - candy pinks being my favourite.
This shade cost £5.49 from Boots which i think is a fairly good price to pay for a lipstick.
Its got good consistency and glides on perfectly giving a bold colour.
I had it on for a full day yesterday with a coat of lipcote and it lasted roughly 8 hours - the colour still looks nice as it fades making it that perfect day long lipstick.
As some of you know Rimmel is my top go to band because of there budget purse friendly value and excellent products.

There are 5 colours in this new spring collection - I'm already eyeing up shade 20 - its such a gorgeous pink.

Have any of your blogger girlies tried this shade or any others?

You may have noticed I have also got rid of the gadget I was using for comments, it seems its not compatible for everyone's internet browser and it was to much hassle signing in, so I have the old html blogger comment box back where you can leave comments and some love.

Competition Wins ♥

A lot of you might not know i love to enter a good competition,
Recently over the past few months I've not has as much time but it is something I've started up again as I do miss the buzz I get when I get a winning email to say congratulations.

I started off entering competitions last year in February, I found out about them on blogs and entered small ones, I'd entered some randomly through facebook before but nothing much happened.

It was only when I discovered the world of comping through Victoria's Vintage- shes one of my favorite bloggers,
She is a comping queen and she actually inspired me more to enter more competitions,
After reading her tips which you can read here - there fab by the way,
I entered my first big competition and won a HTC phone on facebook, since then I've been hooked,
I've entered numerous competitions through

I tend to stick to the social networking site/blogs ones for competitions as I hate getting all the spam and emails associated with entering big online ones where you need to sign up.

I have a page dedicated to all my prizes that I have won,

You can find that here,

I look through these every so often when I'm not winning to give myself some motivation and to remind myself that it is a bit of fun :)

It does get quite addictive and you can get a bit carried away, but its worth a try for a little bit of free fun.

Do any other bloggers out there enjoy comping as a hobby.

Autumn Thrifty Buys - Weekly Hauls #5 ♥

I've been rather quieter on my blog recently, I've been rather busy in my outside life with extra hours at work and wedding planning, so bear with me and I'm trying to post as often as I can.

I wanted to share with you my most recent thrifty purchases this week...

My best thrifty buy yet is this new coat.
I think this was fate when I saw this because the night before in work, a girl I work with put her coat on at the end of the night and it was this exact one and I asked her where she got it from, she said Primark from last years season,
I was a little gutted as it was a gorgeous coat and I'm not a big coat person anyway,
I have like 1 or 2 i wear over Autumn and Winter because I'm practical like that.

So imagine my luck yesterday when I was out shopping, I saw this coat in the window of my local vintage shop.
I went in to see what size it was and it was a 12,
Brand New,
I'm an 8-10 normally so I tried it on and found it fitted perfectly, not to big or too small as you wear extra layers in winter anyway.
Its got a furry hood and silver buttons,
And best of all it was a perfect £5.00.

Its the perfect winter coat, and I love it,

In the same shop I also picked up this cream cable knit thick jumper that will do nicely for the colder months and go with my diamante collar necklace, its lovely and warm.
I picked this up for £4.50.

Perfect Autumn Buys,

Weekly Lusts #4 - ♥The Perfect Lambrini Look ♥

I was kindly contacted by the brand and asked to write a piece for them featuring my Lambrini Style,
I always like to write about the brands I love and share with you lovely lot.

So I thought what better way to write a post than to share my weekly wish lists I enjoy creating,
This week I've created an outfit I'd personally, typically wear on a night out, I have been going out more recently and I'm enjoying it so much more - Your only young once.

1# Jane Norman spot Peplum Top - £22
2# H&M Body Con Skirt - £2.99
3# H&M Black Courts -£14.99
4# Jane Norman Red Turn Clutch - £18.00
5# Miss Selfridge Heart Earrings - £6.50
6# H&M Bow Bracelet - £3.99

I absolutely love this out fit,
The polka dot peplum top is a favorite of mine and I think I'm actually going to purchase it from Jane Norman,
Because I have a part time job here, its a nightmare being surrounded by all these clothes and not being able to purchase them.

Lambrini is a brand I love and I'm sure those old enough to drink love it too,
I'm not a big fan of a lot of alcoholic drinks on night out, I like something I can enjoy drinking.
I have always been a Lambrini girl at heart and I always purchase a bottle or two to share before hitting town.

My Images

As you can see from above , I have two favorites,
*Cherry & Peach - The Peach is a new flavor added to the brand with a few other different flavors,
I have tried recently and it tastes incredible.
I got these bottles 2 weeks ago before I had a girly night out.

I love that these drinks are never bitter tasting or too bubbly and I always enjoy drinking them,
Even if I fancy a night in relaxing.
Bottles retail at a fabulous £2.50 from most supermarkets.
I personally always go to Asda,

You can see the whole range of  Lambrini on the website here

Do any other bloggers love Lambrini?

Garnier BB Cream For Oily Skin - My New Favourite Wonder Product ♥

I've only just got round to using my Garneier BB samples I sent off or a few months back,
BB creams are everywhere at the minute and I wanted to jump on the bandwagon and try something that brightened up my face that I could apply within 5 minutes in the morning.
I was actually pretty amazed how well this worked - I was abit cautious as I've tried tinted moisturisers and I ended up with a patchy face as it doens't blend in well.
Safe to say I've not used them since,
I thought these would be the same.
I tried my three samples which I got 6 days out of since one sachet was enough to last me two days and found the light colour suited my skin tone well as my skin is inbetween fair and tanned depending on how tanned I am,
It actually blended well with my skin tone.
I've been applying it with a matte powder to get a shine free face.
I found the Garneir BB cream worked better for my skin than the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation I'd been using, and my shine stayed at bay for almost 6 hours which is a problem of mine since I have oily skin.
I'm that impressed with the samples I went and purchased a full size tube, and was suprised to see they have a huge range for different skin types.
Boots and Superdrug currently have £25% off there BB cream range at the minute.
RRP - 9.99
Now £7.49

I took this picture this morning using instargram - no touch ups,
I wanted to go for the natural look which only consists of
*Garnier BB Cream in Light
*Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
*Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara
*Barry M Blush

I'm loving this look for a day to day basis and as the BB cream is so sheer, its almost as if I'm wearing no make up and it blends so easily.

I picked this BB Cream for Combination/Oily skin,
They have quite a few different BB Creams to suit everyone,
They have a sensitive range for those with sensitive skin,
And evan an anti ageing one which i think is good for the older person.
This BB cream claims that its meant to make skin less oily in 4 weeks so we'll see.
I'll post a follow up in a months time on this post.
Its great at hiding marks left by spots and does make your skin more radiant.

I've swatched the light shade to show you the colour, it looks pretty light but it does blend in well to suit your skin tone.
Overall I am so pleased with this product so far and for those who want to try it, I'd 100% recommend it - Give It A Go.
Garnier are not doing the free samples promotion at the minute - I did check :(
But if they offer the chance, keep a look out on there facebook page and request some, as I really recommend it to all you girls out there if you want to try before you buy.
Has anyone else tried the Garnier BB Cream?
Did it work for you?

Vintage Buying - My Tips ♥ & How To's ♥

Lots of my friends, family, people I see always comment on some of the items I own or wear and almost seem shocked when I tell them where I got it/them from or how much it was.

I've always had a good eye for a bargain, this started out in college when i didn't have much to live off so I was turning to alternative sites such as Ebay or sale shopping to keep my look updated and its something I've become a pro at.

These days I refuse to pay certain prices for items I know I can get cheaper, I'm not cheap - I have money,
I just like to get more for it.
People who spend over £100 on one item of clothing I think are a bit crazy, unless its a dress of course for a special occasion then its not that bad.

Only recently when it came to starting my little blog last year that i begin to venture into charity shops, a few of my friends still think this is a no no and I get weird looks, but I always say whats the difference of buying someones else's clothes to borrowing a top off your friend or sister and wearing that?

I used to avoid charity shops, I will be hones and I used to be one of them people  who'd make sure no one was watching me as I came out of one if I ever needed to go into one.

Now to me there like a big treasure chest and you never know what you'll come out with and I always go in weekly to see if there's anything I like.

These three items below are all vintage buys,
from left to right we have:
A Topshop Scalloped Top - £1.00
A George Mustard Cropped Sleeved Jumper - £2.00
A Topshop Layered Chiffon Top - £2.50

Total - £5.50

These are all key buys and my favourite out all of the vintage items I have owned, these are also the items I've had a few people asking where I got them from.

I do shop on the high street too and regularly - vintage shops are my best friend for key essentials and items i spot on a whim.

My most recent purchases last week were both of these items.

 Primark Crochet Sweater - £1.99
Primark Orange Glitter Off The Shoulder Jumper - £2.00
Both with tags from different shops.

Here are a few of my tips to help you on your way if vintage shopping is something you'd like to try or need more tips on.

* If your visiting a vintage shop, try to have something in mind that your after whether its something small like a new book to read, or a black top - chances are you will find what your looking for if you have your mind set on something specific.

* You have to remember also vintage shops can sell every brand  - I have picked up items from RARE , Topshop, New Look, H&M , Primark, you name it,
So it really is not about old tat.

* Fashion changes just as much as the weather - so don't automatically assume you can't buy something because its not in fashion, chances are it will be back in again soon and there's many items that are always in fashion, its about dressing for your own style - I never stick to trends.

* Most shops do size order there items, its not like a big jumble sale people make out it to be.
Always look in your size and below or above, many a time I have picked up a size 8 or a 12 as some clothes do tend to be bigger & smaller than others,
I'm an average 8, 10 but I do buy tops and jumpers in bigger sizes as I like things to be bigger sometimes.

* Take your time, if your not patient and can't be bothered going through every item on every rale then how will you ever expect to find anything?
I always go through items individually, as that's usually where the items i find are - hidden away.

* Buying items from vintage shops also does not mean buying a top that has been worn to death - I have expectations and personally will only buy something if it looks like its only been worn a few times, you can tell when an item has been worn loads, the colour will be faded and to be honest you'll know.
A lot of the vintage buys I've bought have either been worn once or twice or have tags and are brand new.

* Always wash before wear - As I've said before wearing something worn by someone else is just the same as borrowing a top - you'd make sure you washed it before someone else wore it right?

* Vintage shops are a great way to pick up a new read - I have bought many books priced at 50p that are pretty new and by my favourite authors, when you've read them, you can simply take them back and buy more.
50p coming out of your pocket will hardly break the bank and its a lot cheaper than paying £6.99 for a book that you'll read only once and then leave sitting on your shelf - it also means your giving back more.

* Search top and bottom - I don't mean literally, all vintage shops I know have little boxes in which they have items of make up, perfume, I once picked up two brand new full sized Soap & Glory goodies for £1.00 for both.
They literally will sell everything and anything.

* Don't buy it just for the price - just like a full priced item you'd buy from H&M or New Look - ask yourself, when will you wear it, what with, what do you already have that will go with it?
I always do this.

* Look in the windows also - vintage shops tend to put the best items in the windows on display to tice people in, just like any shop, don't be afraid to ask if you can try it on or have it.

* Most vintage shops do let you exchange an item if it doesn't fit also so keep this in mind if you can't try on as not all have fitting rooms.

* & lastly take your time - even if you end up in there for half an hour and don't buy a thing as least you know you had a proper look.

* Remember the important thing when purchasing from a charity shop,
Its for a good cause and the money you give will be helping someone else,
There are so many vintage shops about, maybe visit one that you personally feel close to.

I always visit animal ones such as the RSPCA and Society Of Abandoned Animals as animals are pretty close to my heart.

I hope these tips are helpful to anyone who want to try this,
let me know if you have any yourself?

Week 3 - The Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle Nail Files Four Week Challenge ♥

This was meant to be a four week challenge, but I have got to the point where my nails are too long,
didn't think I'd be saying this.

I've popped my nails up in stages in the pictures below,
My nails in the last picture may not seem long for you, but for me they were pretty long.
and there's only so long I can last when it drives me insane and i have to shorten them.

The whole point of writing this post was to see if this product was any good and i will be completely honest with you.

 I'd give it an 8/10

My nails have gotten stronger and i can bend then without snapping them, so the protein complex in this product has worked well for my nails.

The reason I didn't give this product a 10 was the fact that a few of my nails were still flaking after 3 weeks of this product and I had to keep filing these away so it didn't spread.
We'll take a trip back and I'll let you now How this product was meant to benefit me
"Exclusive protein complex supports and protects nails so they can grow longer and stronger.
Soy Protein [binds moisture to nails], helping to strengthen and promote growth without brittleness.
Keratin helps protect nails against splitting, cracking and tearing.
Collagen and multi-vitamins help stimulate healthy nail growth."
The Keratin in this product didn't really work well for me as I still had some splitting which was a shame.
But the Collagen and multi vitamins did make my nails grow very fast, if you see week 2 where i broke my index finger nail, a week later you can see how much it grew in week 3?

I suggest if you are thinking about buying this product for help with splitting or cracked nails then I would maybe give it a go and at least try it, it might work different for each individual person, if you after growing your nails quick, then this is a must for you.
Plus it makes a fab top coat as well as a base coat.
The £9.99 price tags is steep for me cause it didn't work the way I intended it to, the only reason I purchased it was because I had Boots vouchers and wanted to try something new.
I think its got its advantages and disadvantages and its maybe a product I would purchase in the future if it was on offer.

I was suggested OPI Nail Envy, so maybe that the next product on my list to test out.
